The diversity that offers the Esquel, National Park and Rio Pico is one of the main reasons why anglers decide to come and fish with us. There are spring creeks, private waters, small and big rivers, still waters and lakes in a spectacular setting. Fishing with dry flies, wet flies, streamers or nymphs to catch wild rainbows, browns, brookies or salmon introduced in our country in the beginning of last century.
They are all authorized by the Chubut province and National Parks, with a great knowledge of our waters,
and who will try their best to make your fly fishing days in Patagonia unforgettable. An Argentina Waters
guide will come with every two anglers. Each guide counts with a proffesional fishing tackle, rafts, oars and
everything necessary for the fishing journey.
Fishing journeys start at 8 AM normally and end around 8 PM, depending on the month, as daylight varies a
lot during the 6 months fishing season. Depends on the angler likes and preferences regarding the chosen
fishing itineraries. We suggest 7 fishing days for Esquel and National Park area, and 5 for Rio Pico, or
viceversa. Whichever the fishing destiny is, we will organize a specific itinerary for each angler, taking into
consideration his likes, preferences and the fishing results in each place depending on your trip date
Rods: #4 or #5 recomended for non windy days, and #6 or #7 for windy days. Lines: Sinking, Shooting Head and Floating.
Flies: streamers (size 4-6-8 and 10): Zonkers, Wooly buggers, Matukas y Marabou muddlers, in white, brown, black, green, olive, red and yellow.
Nymphs: Prince, Pheasant tail, Hare ear, damsell nymphs and dragonfly and attactors in size 10 to 16, and those really effective perdigons. Dont forget caddis pupa, and a variety of midges in # 20 and # 22.
Dries : caddis adults, Addams, Humphyrs, Wullfs, in similar sizes than nymphs. Also a selection of hoppers, dragons, damsels, beetle and ants.
Leaders: 3X, 4X, 5X, 9 to 12 feet long.
