Best Fly Fishing in Patagonia

One of the primary reasons anglers choose to fish with us is the vast variety of waters we offer, including many rivers, lakes, spring creeks, and streams.

Great brown trouts

We cover the entire area of Los Alerces National Park, as well as the Trevelin and Esquel areas. Visiting Rivadavia, Arrayanes, Futaleufu, Lago Verde, Laguna Larga, Krugger, and Frey are a must during your stay.

We can also combine the Esquel and Rio Pico areas if you wish. Depending on the month of your fly fishing trip, we can suggest a program that combines Le Fario and other lodges to help you make the most of the best fishing areas.

The "magic hour" at the banks of Le Fario Lodge occurs from late January until the end of the season. It's a fantastic opportunity to catch brown trout that measure between 20-24 inches long!

The fly fishing season in Patagonia runs from November 1st until May 1st each year.

We suggest bringing light clothing to wear under the waders, lightweight wind-stopper polar clothes, waders and wading boots, polarized sunglasses, a cap, a Gore-Tex rain jacket (as the weather can be unpredictable), and sunscreen.
