Passports only are required. There is no need for a Visa. For American citizens it is required a ̈reciprocity fee ̈. This should be payed in the USA before travelling to Argentina.

How do I handle the currency exchange? Are credit cards accepted and are ATM’s available?

The official currency is the peso argentine. Major credit cards are generally accepted and currency exchanges can be transacted at a cambio or bank, and ATM’s are easily accessible making exchange almost painless.

No, there are no endemic illnesses and immunizations are not required. However, we recommend that you consult with your physician to discuss any additional concerns.

What kind of food will be served?

Heavily influenced by many European settlers, the food is outstanding from the world famous beef and lamb, fresh pasta, vegetables and fruits along with Patagonia specialties. I have never heard any complaints, only glowing compliments. Argentines demand excellent food at all levels.

What kind of accommodations are provided?

To fish in Esquel and National Park area you will be lodged in our private lodge. In Rio Pico area you will be lodged in a private Estancia. Both featuring a sitting area, dining area, full kitchen, bedrooms and full bath. After a long day your evening meal, including wine, will be provided in your cabaña. All meals are included.

Best described as mountain weather that can be changeable. November and December (spring) are usually sunny and starting to be warm. January and February have beautiful sunny weather with highs of 85-90F cooling in the evenings into the low 60’s. March and April are gorgeous as the fall colors enhance the scenic beauty.
